Qualifying For Postseason

Not all age divisions and classifications use the same postseason format therefore, not all have the same postseason qualifying requirements.  Locate your team's age division and classification below to review all postseason qualification requirements for your team.

ALL TEAMS ATTENDING A USSSA WORLD SERIES, GLOBAL WORLD SERIES OR THE WILSON DEMARINI ELITE WORLD SERIES MUST PARTICIPATE IN THE GEORGIA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS TO VALIDATE THEIR BERTH.  THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!!!

ROOKIE DIVISIONS
4U • 5U
4U - 5U State Championships
4U - 5U World Series Exhibition

State Championships:
The first level of postseason play for the Rookie divisions is the State Championships.  The 4U and 5U State Championships are OPEN events meaning any 4U or 5U team that registers with USSSA and completes their Official Online Roster is eligible to participate.

World Series Exhibition: To advance to the World Series Exhibition, teams must earn a World Series Exhibition berth by finishing high enough in final standings of their State Championship (usually 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th places).  Qualifying teams will participate in the Opening Ceremonies and play games during the week of the Junior World Series.

6U - 8U State Championships
6U - 8U World Series

State Championships (6U & 7U Only):  The first level of postseason play for the 6U and 7U divisions is the State Championships.  To be eligible to participate in State Championships, 6U and 7U teams must either play in a Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or play in a minimum of one (1) Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournament (i.e.; USSSA Qualifier, Global Sports World Series Qualifier, USSSA NIT, USSSA Super NIT, USSSA Select30 Super NIT) between January 1st and May 28th of the current season.
 
State Championships (8U Only): The first level of postseason play are the State Championships.  To be eligible to participate in State Championships, 8U teams must either play in a Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or play in a minimum of three (3) Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournament (i.e.; USSSA Qualifier, Global Sports World Series Qualifier, USSSA NIT, USSSA Super NIT, USSSA Select30 Super NIT) between January 1st and May 28th of the current season.
 
World Series (6U - 8U): To advance to the World Series, teams must earn a World Series berth by finishing high enough in final standings of a Qualifying Tournament (i.e.; USSSA Qualifier, Global Qualifier, USSSA NIT, USSSA Super NIT, USSSA Select30 Super NIT, USSSA State Championship).  The actual placing in the final standings will vary based on the number of teams entered (usually the top 25%).  All World Series berths must be validated by the team playing in a Georgia USSSA Baseball State Championships.
 
Wilson DeMarini Elite World Series (8U Only): To advance to the Wilson DeMarini Elite World Series at ESPN's Wide World of Sports at Disney and Kissimmee, FL, teams must earn a Wilson DeMarini Elite World Series berth by finishing high enough in final standings of a USSSA Super NIT or USSSA Select30 Super NIT.  All World Series berths and must be validated by the team playing in a Georgia USSSA Baseball State Championships.

ALL-STAR DIVISIONS
6U • 8U • 10U • 12U • 14U • 16U • 18U
6U - 18U State Championships
6U - 18U World Series

State Championships:  The first level of All-Star postseason play are the State Championships. State Championship berths are awarded to USSSA Sanctioned Leagues based on the quantity of regular season registered teams (usually a 1 - 6 ratio, i.e.; one All-Star team for every six teams registered in that specific age division).

World Series: Any team that fulfills their State Championship commitment may advance to the World Series.  The All-Star State Champion ONLY is awarded a paid berth to the All-Star World Series in Gulfport, MS.

State Championships (9U - 12U Only): The first level of postseason play are the State Championships.  To be eligible to participate in State Championships, teams must either play in a Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or play in a minimum of four (4) Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournament (i.e.; USSSA Qualifier, Global Sports World Series Qualifier, USSSA NIT, USSSA Super NIT, USSSA Select30 Super NIT) between January 1st and June 11th of the current season.
 
State Championships (13U & 14U Only): The first level of postseason play are the State Championships.  To be eligible to participate in State Championships, teams must either play in a Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or play in a minimum of three (3) Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournament (i.e.; USSSA Qualifier, Global Sports World Series Qualifier, USSSA NIT, USSSA Super NIT, USSSA Select30 Super NIT) between January 1st and June 11th of the current season.

9U - 14U World Series

State Championships:  The first level of postseason play are the State Championships.  To be eligible to participate in State Championships, teams must either play in a Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned League or play in a minimum of three (3) Georgia USSSA Baseball Sanctioned Tournament (i.e.; USSSA Qualifier, Global Sports World Series Qualifier, USSSA NIT, USSSA Super NIT, USSSA Select30 Super NIT) between January 1st and June 4th of the current season.

Wilson DeMarini Elite World Series: To advance to the Wilson DeMarini Elite World Series at ESPN's Wide World of Sports at Disney and Kissimmee, FL, teams must earn a Wilson DeMarini Elite World Series berth by finishing high enough in final standings of a USSSA Super NIT and / or USSSA Select30 Super NIT.  All World Series berths and must be validated by the team playing in a Georgia USSSA Baseball State Championships.

Global World Series: Teams unable to gain qualification for the Wilson DeMarini Elite World Series may participate in a Global World Series.  Teams must earn a Global World Series berth by playing in a Global World Series Qualifier.  All World Series berths must be validated by the team playing in a Georgia USSSA Baseball State Championships.

15U - 18U State Championships
15U - 18U World Series
15U - 18U Wood Bat International Games
 
State Championships: The first level of postseason play are the State Championships.  The State Championships are OPEN events meaning any team that registers with USSSA and completes their Official Online Roster is eligible to participate.

World Series: Any team that fulfills their State Championship commitment may advance to the World Series.  These World Series are played at the Houston Astros Spring Training Facility in Kissimmee, FL.
 
Wood Bat International Games: Any team that fulfills their State Championship commitment may advance to the Wood Bat International Games against teams from Canada, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Japan, Puerto Rico, and the USA. This event is played at the Houston Astros Spring Training Facility in Kissimmee, FL.
